Author: Taarhal
Tarnalia spun her double handed axe in a sweeping arc, slicing clean through the two charging orcs heads like they were butter, the bodies falling to the ground still twitching, seemingly still confused that the heads that had been controlling them were now flying through the air.
The muscled Draenai looked around, aware her travelling companion was no longer fighting by her side as she had been moments before, she cursed under her breath as she spotted Taarhal standing motionless some 20ft behind, a fact that had not gone unnoticed by the remaining three orc raiders that were closing the gap to her.
Tarnalia bounded forward, rapidly closing to intercept the orcs, her superior height and strength giving her the edge, the first orc reached Taarhal, its sword coming down to cleave her skull in two, but Tarnalia arrived in the same instant her huge broadsword deflected the orcs blade it in a shower of golden sparks , then she spun on her hoof, slamming her weight into one of the other orcs to send him sprawling into the mud, and burying her axe in his companions chest. A few moments later and the other orcs joined the first, dead upon the ground.
Tarnalia turned her attention back to Taarhal who still stood motionless, her hammers still gripped in her hands, but they were lowered so the bases were resting on the ground. The Draenai`s eyes were rolled back in her head and she was mumbling softly in her mother tongue.
“Taarhal….are you well?” Tarnalia stood before her companion, a concerned look on her face, uncertain on what was happening.
Taarhal remained motionless, as if her mind was elsewhere and only her body remained
Tarnalia looked around, checking that no more orcs had heard the recent battle, but all was quiet apart from the ever present background noise of the jungle around them.
Minutes more passed and Taarhal continued to mumble, her body remaining as if frozen in place. Then without warning her eyes rolled back down and she stared back at Tarnalia.
“Taarhal…..are you well?” Tarnalia repeated as she looked back at the Blue Draenei Shaman.
“Yes Yes….we must leave here now…we must warn my sister….we must warn the Echo`s yes yes” Taarhal spoke with a serious tone, one that she rarely used.
“Warn them of what, what has happened?” Tarnalia looked a little confused still trying to work out what had just happened to the Draenai.
“I….I saw the sky on fire…I saw portals and demons flooding from them….I saw death, we must hurry…we must get to my Sister…we must warn the others”
“You talk as though this has happened before…have you had this vision before?”
Taarhal looked back at Tarnalia “yes yes I have had it before”
“When….when did you have it before?”
“Before the Legion found us on Draenor…yes yes we must hurry, we must warn the others”
Oooooh. I see where this is going.
